Become a Key Player as a Machinist Technician
You will operate and set up precision machining equipment to produce critical flight-control components ensuring parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards. You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve drawing issues improve processes and support lean initiatives. This is an onsite role across multiple shifts (1st 2nd and weekend shift options).
Heres How Youll Make an Impact on the Team
- Set up adjust and operate conventional and numerically controlled machining centers for complex production jobs
- Run multiple machines efficiently and perform complex multi-station setups
- Read and interpret blueprints engineering specifications and quality directives to meet customer requirements
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments and possibly CMM to ensure conformance
- Troubleshoot machining problems and maintain equipment accuracy and cleanliness
- Implement and contribute to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs
- Interface with engineering to resolve drawing errors and suggest design/process improvements
- Train and mentor less experienced team members
Heres What Youll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Five or more years of directly related machining experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment
- Ability to set up and evaluate precision machine setups and perform complex operations with minimal supervision
- Proficiency reading and following blueprints complex drawings and engineering specifications
- Working knowledge of advanced shop mathematics (may include trigonometry)
- Experience with CNC equipment (Swiss lathe grinders manual machining mills) and precision measurement tools (gages calipers micrometers)
- Demonstrated ability to implement lean concepts and contribute to continuous improvement
- Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team

Pay Range
$20.00 - $40.00/hour
