RN Ambulatory (Infusion)

Location: Syracuse NY

Duration: 14 Weeks Contract

Shift: Day Shift 5x8.5 Hour Shifts

Hours: 08:00 AM 04:30 PM 42.5 Hours/Week
Monday through Friday

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse Ambulatory Infusion for an outpatient hospital setting in Syracuse New York. The ideal candidate should be comfortable providing infusion therapies patient assessments and ongoing nursing care within a fast-paced ambulatory care environment. Oncology and outpatient infusion experience are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care within ambulatory infusion setting
Administer infusion therapies and monitor patient responses
Perform patient assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families regarding treatments and care plans
Maintain compliance with infusion therapy and medication safety protocols
Support outpatient oncology and specialty infusion workflows
Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation
Maintain patient confidentiality and infection prevention standards
Provide compassionate patient-centered care in outpatient setting
Perform patient care functions independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:
Minimum 1.5 years recent acute care RN experience required
Current NYS RN License required
Infusion nursing experience required
Experience in acute care hospital setting required
Strong patient assessment and clinical nursing skills required
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
English proficiency required

Preferred:
Recent outpatient experience
Oncology nursing experience
EPIC EMR experience
Level 1 trauma hospital experience
ONS Certification preferred
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification preferred
