Apprentice Plumber (2026-2027)

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Apprentice Plumber assists the supervisor in the maintenance and operations of all plumbing systems in the district.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or GED required

1 years of plumbing experience preferred Apprentice license preferred
Able to read blueprints and schematics

Dependable and cooperative
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and be insurable

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist to maintain all plumbing systems under a plumber.
Assists with services needed for plumbing such as repairing water leaks replacing pipes equipment fixtures and irrigation systems.
Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

EQUIPMENT USED:
District vehicle two-way radio backhoe trenching machine rooter rotor cordless/power hand tools and soldering torch

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors:
Frequent district travel strenuous bending climbing and walking working in extreme weather conditions working on slippery uneven surfaces and exposure to toxic fumes and chemicals
