Position Purpose:We are seeking a Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst to support the delivery and ongoing development of transaction reporting capabilities with a particular focus on SFTR MAS or ASIC.
The role will form part of a global regulatory reporting team working across London Kraków and Bangalore and will contribute to StoneXs multiyear Regulatory Reporting Rebuild Project aimed at strengthening data quality governance controls and longterm operational resilience.
The role will work closely with senior business analysts Regulatory Operations Technology and Compliance teams to support analysis testing and investigation activities across regulatory reporting platforms.
Responsibilities
Primary duties will include:
- Support analysis of regulatory transaction reporting requirements primarily SFTR MAS or ASIC including field population data sourcing and validation logic
- Contribute to data mapping documentation and data lineage artefacts across fronttoback systems as part of the Reg Rebuild programme
- Support investigation of reporting breaks reconciliation issues and data quality defects working with Regulatory Operations and Technology teams
- Contribute to UAT activities including execution of test cases and validation of outcomes
- Support impact assessments relating to regulatory change guidance updates and control enhancements
- Use SQL to interrogate reconcile and analyse large datasets for reporting testing and investigation purposes
- Work as part of a globally distributed team collaborating across regions and time zones
Qualifications
To land this role you will need:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a business analyst data analyst regulatory operations or similar role
- Handson exposure to SFTR MAS or ASIC reporting (transaction reporting preferred; reconciliations controls or remediation experience also considered)
- Strong SQL capability (essential) ability to write and interpret queries to analyse complex datasets
- Basic understanding of trade / transaction lifecycles across financial markets
- Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a controlled regulated environment
What makes you stand out:
- Exposure to other regimes (e.g. MiFID II EMIR)
- Familiarity with XML or regulatory reporting schemas
- Experience working alongside regulatory reporting vendors
- Prior exposure to regulatory change or transformation programmes
