Facility Government Affairs Engineer
Job Summary
This position is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between Micron and government authorities including the Science Park Administration (科學園區管理局) to support facility-related operations and compliance. The role ensures effective communication coordination and regulatory alignment for facility construction expansion and daily operations while supporting Microns business continuity and long-term site development objectives.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between Micron and government agencies including the Science Park Administration (科管局) for facility-related matters.
- Coordinate and manage communications with external authorities regarding facility construction expansion modification and operational requirements.
- Support permit applications reviews renewals and regulatory documentation related to facility utilities infrastructure and operations.
- Track and respond to government inquiries requirements and regulatory changes that may impact facility operations or projects.
- Collaborate with internal collaborators (Facility EHS Construction Legal and Project Management teams) to ensure alignment with government regulations and site development plans.
- Participate in meetings with government agencies prepare presentation materials and follow up on action items to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in managing site compliance activities and audits related to facility infrastructure and public authority requirements.
- Support facility-related projects by coordinating external approvals and ensuring milestones align with regulatory timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of government communications submissions approvals and commitments.
- Provide regular status updates and risk assessments related to government coordination activities to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Facility Management Public Administration or a related field.
- Experience working with government agencies regulatory bodies or science park authorities preferably related to facility or infrastructure operations.
- Knowledge of facility systems utilities construction processes or industrial site operations is preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint Excel Word).
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech industrial facilities.
- Familiarity with Taiwan Science Park regulations permitting processes or government administrative procedures.
- Experience in project coordination or project management.
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English languages.
Additional Information
- This role requires regular interaction with external government agencies and internal multi-functional teams.
- Occasional participation in meetings outside normal working hours may be required to support project or regulatory needs.
