Trades Apprentice Maintenance Repairer 2

Job Duties:

• Assists by performing facility inspections and making repairs to buildings grounds out buildings street lighting mechanical repairs to all operational equipment such as a/c & heat systems and any other items needed for daily operational use.

• The incumbent will work with the a/c & heat system and perform the detailed daily routine of checking and making notes of all chillers water towers and air handler units.

• Including all pumps for chilled water and cooling tower water checking gauges for proper pressures and temperatures for optimum operational use.

• Making notes for records and making any adjustments as needed. Performing monthly filter cleaning/changing and annual pm routines. Includes maintenance on ice makers and shop equipment.

• The incumbent may provide plumbing services including minor repairs preventive maintenance and quarterly inspections of flood control valves and completing valve maintenance inspection reports.

NOTE:

The Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority - East (SLFPA-E) is an emergency-oriented agency. Part of the SLFPAEs mission is to protect the residents of the east-bank of Jefferson Parish St. Bernard and the east-bank of Orleans from tidal surge wind-driven water and river emergencies during Mississippi River flooding and Hurricane/Tropical storm events the incumbent will be on call and must report for duty if so required and remain on duty in such situations until released from duty by the Appointing Authority.
