Job Summary:
The Development & Events Assistant will contribute to an improved use of data in our fundraising activities through data cleanup and formatting prospect research and tagging and management of creative assets. They will also contribute to logistics and coordination of the CFCs fundraising and community engagement events. This internship offers hands-on experience in fundraising and events the teamwork involved in business dynamics and standard organizational practices. Under the direction of CFCs Director Development & Engagement and working with the Creative Impact team; the duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Data management
- Review existing database contact and organization records correct errors and consolidate duplicate records in Salesforce
- Enter new data into Salesforce and manage event guest lists
Asset Management
- Organize the CFCs archive of photos and creative assets
- Update file names and metadata
Research
- Research prospective individual foundation and corporate donors whose priorities align with the CFCs mandate
Other duties
- Attend departmental meetings
- Administrative support
- Other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with collection and/or maintenance of large data sets
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Exceptional at multitasking problem-solving meeting deadlines and working under pressure
- Must be organized resourceful and motivated with strong team-building skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook Teams and PowerPoint)
Assets:
- Working knowledge of Salesforce (or similar database)
- Experience with fundraising and/or events
- Ability to interact liaise and communicate effectively and easily with a broad range of internal and external people in a professional and ethical manner
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Solutions-oriented and proactive determining new tasks and department efficiencies
- Patient amiable and good-humored
