Job Summary
The office of Zoe Royer Member of Parliament for Port Moody-Coquitlam is seeking a full-time Caseworker.
In this role you will serve as the first point of contact for constituents seeking support on matters related to immigration the Canada Revenue Agency Service Canada and other federal government departments providing guidance in person by phone and in writing. You will communicate directly with government departments and agencies on behalf of constituents following up on files gathering information and working toward timely resolutions. Youll manage case files with a high degree of accuracy confidentiality sound judgment and attention to deadlines while keeping constituents informed with professionalism empathy and care throughout the process. You will also develop and maintain tracking systems to monitor requests and case progress and respond to inquiries in a clear professional and timely manner.
Working closely with the constituency office team you will help support a collaborative and responsive office environment focused on high-quality constituent service. The role requires strong organizational skills discretion adaptability and the ability to manage multiple complex files in a fast-paced setting. You may also assist with community outreach activities events and office coverage as needed.
Qualifications :
Education:
- Post-secondary education from a recognized institution in political science business administration or a related field or an acceptable combination of education training and experience.
Experiences:
- Experience providing casework and support in a political and/or professional office environment
- Experience managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines in demanding fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and database management.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively build and maintain relationships and apply strong attention to detail along with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when interacting with the public and a range of stakeholders.
Assets:
- Experience working in a political office setting.
- Knowledge of the Canadian parliamentary system and federal government programs.
Additional Information :
Salary to be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications.
