Microbiologist Group Leader

Job Summary
Collect Environmental Monitoring (EM) and utility samples at client facilities using sampling protocols and associated documents
Weekend holiday overtime work and travel required as needed to meet client schedules
Perform analyses for pharmaceutical microbiology (routine and non-routine) as needed
Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability
Provide support in the execution of experiments involving molecular biology studies and Cell Line Maintenance
Maintain equipment
Pack and ship samples
Buffer Preparation
Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
Supervise others in performing clients service requirements
- Coach train and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
- Foster motivation and morale
- Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
- Prepare and review job plans conduct semiannual performance reviews interview applicants keep training records up to date for assigned employees perform succession planning in preparation for growth
- Coach and develop individuals and team to maximize performance
- Laboratory maintenance (e.g. cleaning and sanitizing of laboratory)
- Equipment maintenance and tracking
- Author/create investigations/excursions
- Prepare Evaluation Reports and participate in Program Review
- Help in creation of SOPs/TOOLs EMPQ and Training
- GMP experience
- Demonstrates strong client service skills teamwork and collaboration
- Proactively plans and multitasks to maximize productivity
- Ensure that the quality policy program is understood implemented and maintained at all levels of the
- organization; identify prevent or correct any departures from the quality system
- Develop and implement operational improvements

Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in microbiology or other related degree concentration or equivalent directly related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information :
- The position is full-time M- F 8 am to 5 pm
- May be requested to work on weekends overtime and holidays based on business needs.
