The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard is seeking a talented and motivated Computational Scientist to join Broad Scalable this role you will be at the forefront of translating cutting-edge genomic research into robust scalable products that empower the global scientific community.
As part of Broad Scalable Services you will bridge the gap between initial research discovery and production-level computational pipelines. While the initial focus of this role will be on the development and optimization of emerging single-cell products the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a diverse portfolio of genomic and multiomic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain scalable computational pipelines for high-throughput genomic data ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with experimentalists and product development teams to define computational requirements for new genomic assays and technologies.
- Lead the computational analysis of complex datasets to validate product performance identify technical artifacts and refine analytical methods.
- Act as a technical bridge between research laboratories and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of biological insights into automated workflows.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science Mathematics Bioinformatics Physics or a related field.
- 0 years of experience.
- Strong computational and data analysis skills are required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems individually and as part of a team.
- Experience developing software in one or more modern programming languages.
