An opportunity for a Quality Conformance Manager has arisen within Airbus Operations Illescas (Toledo).


The selected candidate will join the A350 Wing Lower Cover Production Team.

As the primary guardian of product integrity and manufacturing excellence the jobholder will spearhead quality standards and manage critical customer interfaces. The team is multidisciplinary and operates in a high-energy environment balancing urgent floor-level interventions with long-term strategic quality planning and digitalization initiatives to drive the plant toward Gold Standard excellence.


RESPONSIBILITIES
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

  • Operational Excellence: Resolve urgent quality incidents on the production line and lead cross-functional teams in Practical Problem Solving (PPS) for complex technical issues.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Act as the primary Quality focal point for the customer leading multifunctional teams to address and resolve quality complaints.

  • Regulatory & Compliance: Define product quality requirements for inspection dossiers and manage the Quality Authorizations framework to ensure personnel certification.

  • Quality Governance: Enforce industry-defined Quality Standards and oversee critical objects such as Quality Escapes Audits Manufacturing Non-Conformances and Concessions.

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead innovation and digitalization projects to streamline quality processes while providing expert compliance advice across the organization.

  • Integrated Support: Embed within the Component Delivery Team (CDT) to align quality milestones with production goals and act as an internal SME/coach for Aviation Safety.

SKILLS

  • Education: Aeronautical Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree.

  • Experience: 1 3 years of proven experience in a high-demand manufacturing environment.

  • Soft skills: Exceptional interpersonal persuasion and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to lead by influence in multifunctional settings and a proactive hands-on mindset.

  • Languages: Advanced level in English (C1).

  • Technical knowledge: Mastery of Quality Management tools (PFMEA MSA Control Plans) and proficiency in drafting technical documentation and workflows.

  • Valuable / Nice to have: Previous experience in the Aerospace sector and knowledge of standards such as SARI/SMS/Events (.07) or Management of Non-Conformities (.02).
