In this context we are looking for a Export Control Compliance Manager to join our team Custom Solutions in Herndon Virginia.
We are seeking a Export Control Compliance Manager to ensure an end-to-end export control process allowing permanent tracking of project export issues at any step of the product development and preventing any deficiency related to export that would cause delays additional cost or sanctions and fines support enabling of export compliant business protect Airbus officers from violations.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Compliances: 50%
With reference to the Head of Export Control and in cooperation with your peers in our global export control team and the business functions you will be supporting the business to ensure compliant and timely delivery to our customers.
Continuously track evolution of export control national & international laws and regulations (including ITAR and EAR) and liaise with relevant government authorities.
Provide permanent advice and support including tools deliver training to business functions concerned.
Ensure permanent intelligence on end use(r) countries or customers.
Prepare export control documentation in order to get timely clearance for export.
Apply for Export Licenses Release of deliveries incl. physical checks classification Administration of licenses incl. record keeping Sanctions.
Continuous improvement: 25%
Continuously improve the performance of the export control function including training surveys etc..
Define update and enforce end-to-end export control process.
Projects: 20%
Support the implementation of Airbus Directives and Methods.
Update list of products documentation equipment components and/or parts subject to export restriction
Other duties as assigned: 5%
Working with the business to ensure high export control & customs standards and awareness training as well as the development of business processes. Your responsibility may include the analysis of orders and deliveries to proactively guide the business about best practice and optimization of order flows and your role may also include audit support reporting to HO function and customs compliance responsibilities.
This role will involve some travel for business up to 10% domestically.
ABOUT YOU
Equipped with a degree in Business or similar or equivalent experience paired with 6 years in U.S. import and export operations and compliance. We are looking for a team player with the following experience skills and mindset:
6 years experience working within in U.S. import and export operations and compliance
4 years of overall supply chain experience preferred.
Fluent in English both verbal and written (mandatory)
Physical Requirements:
Onsite or remote: 60% Onsite
Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens able to read documents reports and engineering drawings. Daily
Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings deliver information and participate in communications. Daily
Equipment Operation (personal computer telephone copies fax machine and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily
Carrying: able to carry documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
Lifting: able to lift documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings working on computer. Daily
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Daily
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Daily
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Rarely
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes but is not limited to Safety Shoes Safety Glasses Hearing Protection Respirators/Masks and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
Able to work in US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
