As a CNC Turning set up and production operator at your focus will be to:
- Set up to operate CNC Lathe machinery
- Familiar with Macro programming.
- Inspect product to print looking for any flaws and defect of material including deburring if necessary.
- Interpret drawings specifications process sheets program readouts and shop orders to plan and check work.
- Obtain proper set of tools from tool crib select insert types and check tools for accuracy.
- Interpret drawings route sheets diagrams specifications and instructions to determine proper operation sequences.
- Make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool adjustments.
- Move completed material to next workstation.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Education and Experience Requirements
- One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
- 1-3 years related experience or training.
- Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
- Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
- Ability to read basic measuring devices including micrometers and calipers. Working knowledge and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
- Willing to complete a blueprint reading course.
