Our Health and Welfare Benefits Representatives are key to our success by liaising between the administrative office local unions contributing employers and participants to educate them regarding plan provisions and changes.
What youll be doing...
We get it. Employee benefits are complicated. Typically when someone needs to use their benefits they are also going through momentous changes. Theyre dealing with an important health issue. It may be that they are new in their careers and trying to understand what their benefits mean. Thats where our Health and Welfare Benefits Representatives help. We see this role as a trainer or a teacher in helping our participants understand the value of the benefits they rightfully have earned.
You will:
- Explain plan eligibility benefits and participation requirements to participants and stakeholders.
- Assist participants with benefit applications claims appeals and eligibility questions.
- Review denied claims and gather documentation to support accurate claim decisions.
- Respond to participant inquiries by phone email and in person with professional customer service.
- Conduct meetings and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and consistent support.
- Complete special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Educated. Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experienced: Previous experience in the benefits and/or Human Resources field
- Communication. Excellent verbal/written communication; bilingual Spanish language skills required
- Organized. Strong organizational and time management skills ability to multi-task

If hired you can expect...
- Starting hourly rate of $33.19 - $44.89 per hour. Pay is dependent on experience skills and qualifications.
