• (Internal Title: Estimation IV)
  • Provide professional estimating services in major high-profile Projects consistent withAACEiClasses of Estimates for order-of-magnitude conceptual feasibility pre-design budget value engineering control definitive and final Engineers estimates as well as major change order estimates.
  • Prepare the above-described cost estimates for complex above and below grade structures tunnels and buildings including extensive temporary site works finishes utilities and services for new construction and repair/renovation projects for rapid transit facilities and operating system elements.
  • Prepare cost breakdown documents for progress payments and detailed quantity surveys from analysis of contract drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare basis of estimate documentation for inclusion into reports.
  • Analyze and report on cost breakdowns and price schedulessubmittedby contractorssubsequent totender closing.
  • Prepare cost variance reports and explanations tender comparisons post bid analysis cost reductionstrategiesandrecommendations.
  • Maintaincurrent construction cost data based on historical costs marketresearchand indices in the application of a computerized cost estimating system.
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders discussingmajor issueswith project estimates verses market pricingrelativeto scope and budget variance impacts.
  • Liaise with various EC&E Group management and staff otherCLIENTBranches external agenciesconsultantsand suppliers to obtain facts and cost information pertinent to the performance of the estimating work.
  • Assistsection managers in development implementationmonitoringand measurement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Review and comment on foreign cost estimates to ensure accuracy comprehensiveness and consistency with the E&C Branch estimating guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintainfiles and records of work.

Working Conditions

• Minimum of 15years of of working experience in a large urban transit organization engineering generalcontractingand/or cost consultant firm specializing in large complex multi-faceted projects
• Bachelors degree in the Engineering Technology field or related discipline
• Knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical/Transit Operating Systems/Utilities estimating process.
• Experience in Design Bid Build Design Build & Progressive Design Build Projects.
• Holds a Professional PQS certification with OACETT CIQS AACE International MRICS orother relevant technical association

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors which may include but are not limited to the specific office location role skill set and level of experience. As required by local law Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation based on full-time employment for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role. It does not represent a maximum limit in some cases actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
