Statewide Services and OutreachMission:
We are committed to serving all of Ohios students who are Deaf Hard-of-Hearing Visually Impaired or Deafblind by providing supports and resources for families school districts and their stakeholders. Our dedicated staff provide services to families and educators respecting the students communication modality.
Must maintain valid Ohio teaching licensure for grade level subject area or special class assignment.
Must demonstrate Advanced level on the Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) within one year of hire Intermediate level minimum requirement at hire.

American Sign Language Online Teacher - Statewide Services and Outreach

American Sign Language Online Teacher
Position Purpose: | Teach ASL (levels 1-4) to hearing deaf and hard of hearing high school (possibly including 8th grade) students attending Ohios public schools through the ASL Online program. |
Qualifications: | Must maintain valid Ohio teaching licensure for grade level subject area or special class assignment. |
Work Schedule: | Works in accordance with a 185-day school year calendar. |
