Job Responsibilities
- Establishes maintains and updates institutional accreditation files on an annual basis.
- Manages the compliance review system by monthly in-house checklist.
- Conducts inspections to ensure compliance with ACA and SCDC policies/procedures.
- Observes and records discrepancies of compliance/non-compliance and reports the same to Warden.
- Coordinates with departmental heads to ensure standards compliance.
- Informs supervisors as to all changes which impact any ACA standard.
- Coordinated and/or provides applicable training/orientation for employees as such relate to meeting ACA standards.
- Prepares general and specific reports and/or correspondence relating to accreditation policy and procedures post orders and other functions.
Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant experience. A bachelors degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and eighteen (18) months experience in correctional security military or police work.
A degree in criminal justice or a related degree may substitute for 1/2 of required experience.
Must be certified by the SCDC training academy and successfully complete the basic supervisory course within six (6) months of entry into the position.
