Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format): Application Architect & Data Engineer
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Solution Development team to deliver robust reliable application and data solutions.
- Serve as an Application Architect and Data Engineer on critical system change projects and provide ongoing application support.
- Design and implement technical solutions to complex business problems ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business processes.
- Act as a subject-matter expert in data management researching analyzing and recommending technical approaches for development and integration.
- Gather user requirements create technical designs and oversee implementation of solutions.
- Develop implement and maintain stored procedures and data packages to process large volumes of data using Oracle (11g 19C) PL/SQL and SQL.
- Review and approve designs from other developers to ensure compliance with architecture guidelines.
- Perform data analysis define technical requirements and create or update technical design documentation.
- Support IT actuarial systems public pension systems or governmental retirement benefits processes.
- Utilize ETL processes Power BI for data reporting and Snowflake for data storage and analytics.
- Manage application changes including analysis design implementation testing (unit/QA and user acceptance) and support.
- Update and enhance system documentation to reflect ongoing changes.
- Provide knowledge transfer to team members through scheduled meetings documentation reviews and sharing best practices and lessons learned.
