Python Developer

This role will support and enhance supply chain analytics optimization applications by improving Python-based data processing validation and workflow logic within an existing codebase. The ideal candidate is a strong Python developer who can work with structured data partner with business stakeholders and deliver reliable maintainable analytical tools. While working on a Data Science project specific data science experience is not needed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design develop and enhance Python-based applications and analytical components within an existing codebase ensuring scalable maintainable and high-quality solutions.
2. Implement robust input data validation redesign input file formats and data structures and perform thorough output validation to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
3. Prototype solutions perform detailed requirement analysis and document functional and technical specifications.
4. Validate analytical assumptions interpret model outputs and ensure solutions are practical durable and aligned with business expectations.
5. Lead requirement discovery and scoping discussions with business stakeholders to translate supply chain and retail problems into well-defined technical and analytical solutions.
6. Work closely with data platform teams to identify and leverage the right data assets in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
7. Operate effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment actively contributing to ceremonies and continuous delivery.
8. Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively gathering requirements and explaining solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Strong hands-on experience in Python development particularly in data processing validation and analytics use cases.

2. Experience working in existing codebases and following software engineering best practices.

3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

4. Experience working with testing/version control/code review in GitHub

5. Hands-on experience delivering projects in Agile environments.

Preferred Skills

1. Exposure to or working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

2. Domain knowledge in Supply Chain or Retail.

3. Advanced proficiency in SQL including complex queries and stored procedure development.

4. Proven experience gathering requirements and partnering with business users.
