Job Description:

Basic Functions:

• Repair machines and perform a variety of service oriented functions
• Supporting Journeypersons with Troubleshooting and assisting in repairs.
• Performing preventative maintenance including checking fluid levels lubricating equipment performing oil changes and servicing filters
• Maintaining cleaning and organizing the shop area tools and equipment
• Completing service reports and computer entry.

Qualifications:

• Willing to work towards Heavy Equipment Technician Certification.
• Successfully meet Finnings educational and testing prerequisites. This includes:
• Completion of grade 12 (not including a general equivalent diploma)
• Meet the requirements of article 5.02 of the Alberta Collective Agreement
• Highly motivated and mechanically inclined
• Strong assets will include:
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Previous Caterpillar experience and basic computer skills

• A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol fitness testing) and wear a respiratorwhere applicable
