Job Summary:

Step into a role where leadership meets technical expertise. As a Mechanical Foreman youll work side-by-side with the Mechanical Manager to coordinate the teams daily tasks ensure safety and keep locomotives running at peak performance. Your attention to detail and commitment to compliance will help us deliver reliable rail service.   • Direct daily workflow of shop activities and guide other employees to perform work safely
  • Assist shop management with equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate with Transportation and other department when needed
  • Assist in maintaining compliance including accurate record keeping t for all federal state and other applicable railroad safety and operational regulations (for example Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Association of American Railroads (AAR))
  • Implement approved repair and maintenance practices for equipment
  • Perform daily locomotive servicing (for example fueling cleaning supply check) and / or car inspections
  • Support periodic and annual inspections while ensuring compliance with FRA and AAR standards
  • Maintain optimum inventory level to support repair activities ordering materials as required
  • Collaborate with others on repair strategies and project planning
  • Interpret blueprints mechanical drawings and repair instructions
  • Assist with projects and perform other duties as assigned
