We are a relationship-driven company seeking an experienced and dedicated Controller to join our team.
Controller Job Summary:
The Controller oversees the companys accounting and financial operations ensuring the fiscal integrity and accuracy of Holliday Ingrams financial affairs. This position is responsible for the production of reliable financial reports the maintenance of sound accounting systems and internal controls and the implementation of efficient processes that support compliance and cost effectiveness across the organization.
Requirements
- Oversee all general accounting operations including monthly close reconciliations journal entries and financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules for management and external partners.
- Maintain and continuously improve internal controls accounting procedures and reporting processes to safeguard assets and enhance efficiency.
- Manage and monitor company expenditures promoting cost awareness and fiscal discipline throughout the organization.
- Coordinate the annual budget process ensuring financial plans align with company goals and leadership input.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual tax return and annual audit(s) with outside CPA Firm.
- Supervise accounts payable receivable and fixed asset processes to ensure accuracy timeliness and proper documentation.
- Partner with the external HR provider to coordinate payroll and 401(k) processes ensuring accurate financial recording reconciliations and compliance alignment between HR and operational accounting functions.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations reporting standards and internal policies.
- Supervise and develop operational accounting team members fostering accountability accuracy and professional growth.
- Collaborate effectively with the COO department leaders and external partners maintaining strong communication and trusted working relationships across the organization.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required.
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting and finance experience including leadership of accounting operations and team supervision.
- Demonstrated success leading accounting operations or financial management in a multi-location organization.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and internal control standards.
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Proven ability to manage costs oversee accounting functions and produce timely accurate financial reports.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
- Demonstrated integrity confidentiality and commitment to ethical financial practices.
- Ability to plan organize and lead effectively in a growing multi-location company environment.
