Job Summary
Lopérateur(trice) de presse est responsable dexécuter de façon sécuritaire et efficace les opérations de
production liées au procédé dinjection plastique. Travaillant parfois de manière autonome et parfois en
équipe il ou elle sassure de la qualité des pièces produites de la conformité aux exigences des clients et
du respect des standards de santé et sécurité au travail. Lopérateur(trice) contribue directement à latteinte
des objectifs de productivité et à lamélioration continue des procédés de fabrication.
Tâches et responsabilités
1. Production et qualité
Prendre connaissance et appliquer les instructions de travail (format papier ou informatisé).
Compléter et vérifier les rapports de production et dinspection avec rigueur.
Procéder au démoulage des pièces sil y a lieu et vérifier leur refroidissement adéquat.
Effectuer les opérations de finition requises : coupe de carotte retrait de bavures/flash avec fusil
chauffant application de bandes adhésives étiquettes points de couleur inserts mousse etc.
Assurer la disponibilité et la conformité des matières premières et fournitures nécessaires à la
production.
Inspecter visuellement et dimensionnellement les pièces afin de valider leur qualité et leur
conformité.
Prendre les décisions qualité de niveau 1 et signaler toute non-conformité au superviseur ou au
département qualité.
Emballer identifier et palettiser les pièces conformément aux spécifications du client.
Installer ajuster et préparer son poste de travail au début de chaque quart et lors de changements
de moules.
Communiquer aux équipes concernées (superviseur monteur-ajusteur qualité) tout problème lié
au fonctionnement des équipements.
Effectuer des tâches techniques de base : changement de bouteille de primer arrêt et redémarrage
dune presse sans robot etc.
Suivre et optimiser son efficacité de production à laide des outils disponibles.
The press operator is responsible for carrying out the production operations related to the plastic injection
process in a safe and efficient manner. Sometimes working independently and sometimes as part of a
team he or she ensures the quality of the parts produced compliance with customer requirements and
compliance with occupational health and safety standards. The operator contributes directly to the
achievement of productivity objectives and the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
1. Production and quality
Read and apply work instructions (paper or computerized format).
Complete and verify production and inspection reports rigorously.
Remove the parts from the mould if necessary and check that they are properly cooled.
Perform the required finishing operations: core cutting burr/flash removal with heated gun
application of adhesive strips labels color dots inserts foam etc.
Ensure the availability and compliance of raw materials and supplies needed for production.
Visually and dimensionally inspect parts to validate their quality and compliance.
Make Level 1 quality decisions and report any non-conformances to the supervisor or the quality
department.
Pack identify and palletize parts according to customer specifications.
Install adjust and prepare your workstation at the beginning of each shift and during mold
changes.
Communicate to the relevant teams (supervisor fitter quality) any problems related to the
operation of the equipment.
Perform basic technical tasks: changing primer bottles stopping and restarting a press without a
robot etc.
Monitor and optimize production efficiency using the tools available.
Respect established deadlines and productivity standards.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
2. Occupational Health and Safety
Apply safe and ergonomic work methods at all times.
Comply with health safety and environmental policies procedures and regulations.
Ensure the safety of oneself and ones colleagues by adopting preventive behaviours.
Promptly report any risk situation or incident and participate in the elimination of hazards.
Propose improvement solutions to reduce the risk of accidents or injuries.
Actively collaborate in OHS incident investigations and analyses.
3. Communication and training
Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to achieve production goals.
Actively participate in the training offered in order to develop your versatility and improve your
technical skills.
Ensure a clear and complete transfer of information to your replacement during the shift change.
Attend and contribute to weekly meetings with the supervisor and the team.
Skills and qualifications sought
Experience in manufacturing or production (an asset).
Knowledge of the plastic injection process (an asset).
Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
Good manual dexterity meticulousness and attention to detail.
Ability to work standing for long periods of time and perform repetitive movements.
Sense of responsibility and autonomy.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
Compliance with health and safety guidelines.
