Job Title: Healthcare Payroll Assistant

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Payroll Assistant to support payroll and accounting operations within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have recent healthcare industry payroll experience and strong attention to detail while processing payroll maintaining data accuracy and supporting financial and accounting functions. This role requires excellent organizational skills confidentiality and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced administrative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for hourly and salaried healthcare employees
- Assist with entering reviewing and processing wage garnishments
- Process payroll transfer reports and maintain accurate payroll records
- Ensure employee benefit deductions are accurate and properly documented
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy compliance and data integrity
- Support leadership and accounting teams with payroll and finance-related projects
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information
- Assist with resolving payroll discrepancies and responding to payroll inquiries
- Ensure compliance with company payroll policies and applicable regulations
- Utilize payroll systems and accounting software to maintain accurate records
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent healthcare payroll experience required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and Outlook required
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Experience using Pay Choice or Payroll Associates systems preferred
- Strong organizational analytical and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with high attention to detail
- Experience working in fast-paced healthcare administrative environments preferred
