Senior UX Product Designer

About the Role
Abbott is looking for a talented and experienced Senior UX / Product Designer to join our Diagnostics Division and play a critical role in the design of compelling informatics products.
In this role you will lead the design of multichannel interactive digital experiences guiding products from early concept through launch and supporting them throughout their lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to create intuitive highimpact user experiences that delight our customers and meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.
What Youll Do
- Lead endtoend UX design activities for informatics products from concept to launch and postmarket support
- Design intuitive and engaging user experiences across desktop web and mobile platforms
- Translate both spoken and unspoken customer needs into meaningful differentiated product experiences
- Create and maintain UX artifacts such as personas user journeys workflows wireframes prototypes interaction models and functional specifications
- Drive and conduct user research and usability testing iterating designs based on insights and findings
- Contribute to and continuously improve UX architecture processes tools and templates
- Promote reuse consistency and scalability of UX assets across multiple projects and teams
- Identify bestinclass design patterns components and frameworks to ensure usability and visual excellence
- Ensure all design work complies with the ADD Informatics Quality System and applicable US and international regulatory standards
- Assess UXrelated technical risks and support mitigation strategies
- Communicate design concepts research findings and rationale clearly and effectively to stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with product managers R&D leadership engineers and external partners
- Participate in Human Factors Engineering (HFE) activities to improve usability safety and ergonomics
- Plan execute and track design projects including scope timelines and risks
- Travel occasionally based on project needs
What Youll Bring
- Bachelors degree in Interaction Design Industrial Design Human Factors Cognitive Science HCI Information Architecture or a related field
- A Masters or PhD in a related discipline is a plus
- At least 5 years of experience designing and launching software or informatics products in environments such as healthcare logistics defense or similar industries
- Proven experience working in Scrum or Agile development teams
- Strong knowledge of usercentered design principles and methodologies
- Handson experience with design and prototyping tools such as Adobe InDesign Illustrator InVision Axure SolidWorks Dreamweaver CC PhoneGap Build or similar
- Solid understanding of presentation and frontend technologies including HTML5 CSS JavaScript XAML and native platforms with awareness of accessibility standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking creativity and problemsolving abilities
Work Location
This is a hybrid role based in Milan requiring 4 days per week on site to support close collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
