The Human Resource Generalist will assist in the development and execution of HR strategies in several functional areas to advance business objectives and provide high quality HR services for TIMETs Morgantown HR functional areas to include employee relations recruitment law compliance records management and analysis of human capital data for reports plans policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Drive the positive employee relations approach for Morgantown.
- Drive the union avoidance efforts to maintain union free through positive employee interactions and open communication
- Support the HR Leader in delivering excellence in talent management through succession planning talent acquisition and employee development.
- Partner with the leadership team on the implementation of change assisting leaders and employees during various transitions
- Recommend new approaches policies and procedures to positively impact / effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Ensure compliance across the full spectrum of legal and internal human resources expectations facing the business
- Partner with the HR Leader to improve diversity and inclusion in the site.
- Partners with supervisors and managers to help resolve employee relations issues including performance improvement plans discipline management coaching and terminations and makes recommendations to the HR Leader.
- Assist in developing and maintaining affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Maintenance of relevant information in Workday which includes running reports and making improvement recommendations when applicable
- Development of recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels in partnering with facility operations and department managers.
- Leads open enrollment planning preparation roll-out procedures and provides on-going support to employee benefit inquiries. Helps employee resolve benefits disputes and makes proactive improvement recommendations to Human Resource Leader as they are identified.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree preferably in Human Resources Management or related field 5-7 years of progressive HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment and/or administrative level experience with emphasis on basic HR fundamentals.
- Demonstrated competence in thinking strategically analytically conceptually and innovatively
- Handle multiple tasks concurrently and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) organization problem resolution and presentation skills
- Computer skills including all MS Office applications
- Experience with dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
- HRIS databases
- HR certification (PHR) a plus
