What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
- Associates degree preferred.
Experience
- One (1) year service experienceworking as a nurse in a behavioral health field
- One (1) year medication administration experience required.
License or Certification:
- Valid California LVN or LPT license.
- Current CPR certification.
How you will make a difference (job overview):
The LVN / LPTassists with medication support services provided by the psychiatrist nurse practitioner or physicians assistant. Medication support services may include but are not limited to; med support appointments taking vitals medication education medication management support and/or administration including injections. Follow up communication tracking and documentation for labs prescriptions and direct client care including medications and basic medical intervention and education following standard nursing practices.
