Job Description:
Orbital Engineering Inc. is seeking anOffice Administrative Assistantto join our team to support projects in Reading PA. This is afull-time on-siteposition and candidates must live within commutable distance of Reading PA. Candidates must be able to work in an office environment Monday - Friday. This position is NOT eligible for hybrid or remote work. Candidates with experience in supporting construction or engineering projects are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative support to project managers and technical managers throughout the project life cycle
- Provide administrative support to engineering staff by managing schedules appointments and travel arrangements.
Prepare and format reports presentations and technical documents as required by the engineering department.
- Assist in maintaining project related files.
Coordinate communication within the engineering team and external stakeholders ensuring efficient information flow.
- Project set-up processing purchase orders and working with project managers for project award
- Assist in preparing project deliverables and progress reports
Schedule and coordinate meetings conferences and events including room bookings and catering arrangements.
- Collaborate with HR to facilitate onboarding processes for new engineering team members.
- This position requires discretion and independent judgment with regard to support services for company and client management.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Advanced computer skills for Microsoft Office suite including word processing spreadsheet and presentation tools.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Three years of experience as an administrative assistant or secretary preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles for budget tracking.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Preferred Requirements
- Associates degree or Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field.
- Familiarity with engineering terminology and documentation is a plus.
This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment.
Location Note:
This is an on-site position. Compensation is based on market data and internal equity and may vary depending on the candidates location.
Salary Range:
$18.00 - $25.00/hr (based on experience qualifications and location)
