This position is a hybrid role based onsite 3 days a week at our office in Minneapolis MN.

- Build and maintain cloud services that are scalable highly available and fault-tolerant.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and influence strategy within the teams responsibility.
- Improve quality uptime and monitoring for all existing applications and apply best practices for new development.
- Lead projects and work alongside team members to create robust architectural designs.
- Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver cohesive global solutions.
- Serve as a mentor and a positive example of high-ownership and accountability.

What You Bring On Day One (Required Qualifications)
- BA/BS or MS in Computer Science Computer/Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
- 5 years of experience in a software engineering role.
- Expertise in Java or another JVM-based language with a solid understanding of multi-threading and concurrency.
- Experience in designing and developing scalable microservices and REST APIs.
- Experience with deploying to cloud-based services like AWS or GCP.
- Experience with cloud services deployments monitoring and production support.
- Ability to work within established infrastructure and quickly become familiar.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities and time effectively.
- Eager to learn new technologies and adapt to new and changing requirements.
Desired Skills
- Deep experience with DynamoDB Redis and/or similar technologies.
- Genuine interest in smart home and IoT technologies.
- Proven ability to integrate AI-assisted tools into workflow to increase velocity and quality.

Base compensation range for this position is $117000 to $158000. Actual base within this range will depend on many factors including experience skills technical expertise and market addition this role is eligible for a 20% annual target bonus based heavily on individual performance.
