Job Summary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Perform a wide range of analyses both routine and non-routine primarily in molecular biology cell biology and virology test areas of Biopharmaceutical Services
  • Conduct day-to-day activities in a laboratory setting under prescribed processes including protocols standard operating procedures and methods
  • Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability ensuring accuracy and reliability of results
  • Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
  • Learn and apply molecular biology technology to support ongoing research and development efforts
  • Design and execute experiments to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and electronic records of all experimental procedures and results
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and software tools
  • Prepare technical reports summaries and presentations of research findings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals and timelines
  • Troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols to improve efficiency and reproducibility
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory environment
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
  • Participate in regular team meetings and scientific discussions to share knowledge and stay updated on project progress

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivation adaptability and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies
  • PCR technique exposure/experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in chemistry biology biochemistry or related degree concentration and a minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience masters degree with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience or a Ph.D. with no laboratory experience


Additional Information :

Position is Full-time Monday-Friday first or second shift with additional hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster PA are encouraged to apply.
