Job Summary

THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE OFFERED A SALARY BETWEEN $62868.00-$72298.00.

The Administration for Childrens Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services and provides subsidized child care vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child juvenile justice ACS oversees detention placement and programs for youth in the community.

The ACS Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) is responsible for ensuring ACSs compliance with New York Citys Equal Employment Opportunity policy as well as federal state and local laws that prohibit employment discrimination. OEEO seeks a dynamic detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills to directly support OEEOs work to promote accessibility to employment and programming for persons with disabilities. The EEO Associate will report directly to the OEEO Deputy Director.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

- Support the ACS ADA Coordinator Disability Service Facilitator Mental Health Coordinator and Digital Inclusion Officer on Local Law 12 and ADA compliance projects.

- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on OEEOs behalf.

- Assist with the development of OEEO policies procedures manuals and trainings concerning accessibility and reasonable accommodations.

- Data entry and maintaining accurate records using relevant spreadsheets and databases.

- Generate reports for OEEO leadership.

- Process requests for reasonable accommodations under the supervision of the OEEO Deputy Director intermittently based on operational needs and workload demands.

Qualifications :

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
