Raytheon isseekingaseeking a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in AI/ML algorithms to support advanced aerospace sensor provide technicalexpertise and leadershipacross multiple programs and Internal Research and Development (IRAD) efforts withinAdvanced Sensor Programs. This position is part of the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Center in the Airborne Surveillance RF organization.This is an onsite role inPlano TX.

What You Will Do

• Be a member of the leadership team and manage AI/ML projects on Algorithms team of Advanced Sensor Programs
• Performsystemlevelperformance analysis to evaluate andoptimizeadvanced airborne sensor capabilities
• Develop refine and analyze AI/ML algorithms to support mission-critical aerospace applications
• Conduct trade studies to compare technical approaches and guide engineering decisions
• Build statistical models and performance predictions for complex multidisciplinary systems
• Execute detailed data analyses following Raytheon engineering processes and best practices
• Participate in formal and informal peer reviews;identify track and resolve technical issues
• Provide cleartimelytask status updates and deliverhighqualitywork products to the chief engineer
• Interface daily with engineering teammates other teamleads and cross-functional partners to ensure technical alignment
• Support customer and program presentations by contributing technical content and insights
• Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Science Technology Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience in experienceinAI/ML and one or more of the following areas: Signal Processing Algorithms or Models Image Processing Algorithms or Models Detection Theory
• Knowledgedeveloping and implementing AI/ML signal processing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications including signal and image processingphysics-constrained modelingdigital communications or detection and estimation theory
• Experience using software change management tools version control systems and established software development processes
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Advanced degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
• Realtime programming for embedded ormissioncriticalsystems
• Programming experience in C or C and handson experience using MATLAB or Python for data experience with Anaconda
• Mathematical modeling and analyticalproblem-solvingskills
• UNIX/Linux environments

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
