Job Summary
Practice Overview:
- Fully Private practice supporting FPI and Plan patients
- Role starts from June 15th 2026
- Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm and Fridays 8:30am - 2:30pm
- Join a growing close-knit dental team including 2 clinicians and a hygenist in a 2 surgery practice
- Modern facilities in the practice
- Ongoing rebranding marketing and start of a new team so looking for the right person to integrate and help direct the team
- Support provided primarily by principal dentist and wider clinical leads
Job Description:
- Manage the daily operations of the practice including patient scheduling/registration medical records data entry cash posting daily bank deposit activity office maintenance and computer systems.
- Supervise and develop medical office personnel to ensure maximum efficiency in practice operations including staff selection onboarding/training scheduling and other personnel related activities.
- Ensure practice is providing the appropriate level of patient service including the resolution of patient concerns/issues.
- Manage implement and maintain office policies and procedures.
- Oversee compliance related activity.
- Provide additional administrative support to the physicians through the completion of assigned tasks.
- Being proavtive and encouraging further growth of the practice and patient base
Role Requirements:
- Either previous practice manager experience or clinical experience in dental setting
Successful applicants will be invited to an interview with both principal dentists.
About you
We welcome your application if you have management or Lead Dental Nurse experience within a dental setting. Other industries such as healthcare or commercial (e.g. retail / hospitality) will also be considered.
- The ability to communicate effectively with the team and lead them with a positive proactive approach
- Manage and coordinate all administrative aspects of the medical practice including scheduling billing and patient records
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve practice efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Oversee financial operations including budgeting financial reporting and revenue cycle management
- Recruit train and supervise administrative and clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and practice growth
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for supplies and services
- Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of patient care
- Analyse practice performance metrics and develop strategies for improvement
- Handle patient complaints and resolve conflicts in a professional and timely manner

About you

A healthcare retail hospitality or similar service-focused background - experience managing a dental practice or strong leadership experience as a lead dental nurse is an added bonus but not essential
Passionate about delivering great service
