Software Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Downer Professional Services is Australias multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and Government.
We currently have an opportunity for a Software Systems Engineer in Canberra ACT to work on Joint Data Networks (JP9347) Defence projects.
- Supporting the planning and execution of the JP9347 Engineering Program
- Contributing to software and systems engineering activities across the full capability lifecycle from requirements development through to introduction into service
- Conducting system and software requirements and specification development
- Engaging with industry and internal/external stakeholders within Agile delivery environments (including Sprint Planning and SCRUMs)
- Providing engineering advice briefings and mentoring to project leadership and junior engineers
What Youll Bring
- Bachelor of Engineering (or Engineers Australia recognised equivalent)
- AQF Level 6 or higher qualification in software development or software engineering
- Experience in systems or software engineering within Defence or complex ICT environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement communication and briefing skills
- Experience supporting acceptance certification or assurance activities
Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
