Qualifications / Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (highly advantageous)
• Diploma or any tertiary skill in respect of Dyeing procedure
• Computer literacy skills with Word and Excel
• Related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC)
• Good communication skills including English
• Numeracy skills
• Must be punctual systematic compliant and alert

Key Performance Areas:

• Report any non-conformance to the Supervisor/Team Leader
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and safety procedures:
• Keep work area neat and tidy at all times
• Ensure all relevant chemicals are stored correctly as per safety requirements
• Ensure correct tools and equipment are used for the correct testing procedures and safety clothing is worn at all times
• Responsible for all dye house standards:
• Perform all tests in respect of dyeing procedure
• Log all tests as per standard operating procedure
• Monitor the number of tests performed to ensure compliance with operating procedures
• Liaise with necessary departments in respect of outcome and results of the tests conducted
• Assist with administration as and when required
• Perform all relevant physical and chemical/dyeing testing as per standard operating procedures to meet customer specification
• Adhere to company policies and procedures:
• Ensure all human resource policies are adhered to (attendance clocking discipline etc)
• Follow any reasonable work related instruction that may be given by Superior from time to time
• Report writing:
• Submit relevant report in respect of non-compliance and weekly reports to Production Manager / Team Leader
