Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Mid Shift (3:00 PM 11:00 PM)
Schedule: Monday Friday 5x8-Hour Shifts
Pay Rate:

• Local: $30$33/hour (based on experience)
• Travel: Up to $38/hour (including stipend based on experience)

Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) to support surgical and sterile processing operations within a hospital setting. The role involves preparing sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments and ensuring strict adherence to infection control and sterile processing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare clean inspect sterilize and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Operate autoclaves gas sterilizers and related sterilization equipment per hospital protocols
• Maintain strict sterile technique and infection prevention standards in all processes
• Assist operating room staff with case setup and instrument preparation
• Inspect and assemble surgical trays ensuring proper functionality and completeness
• Maintain inventory and organize sterile processing supplies
• Document sterilization cycles and maintain accurate processing records
• Handle transportation of surgical equipment and instrument trays safely
• Follow all hospital safety policies and regulatory compliance standards

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Central Service Technician Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of central sterile processing experience
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments autoclaves and sterilization systems
• Understanding of infection control and sterile processing procedures
• Ability to lift push and handle heavy instrument trays and equipment
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) program completion preferred
• CRCST certification preferred
• Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred
• 3 years of sterile processing experience preferred
