Location: Falmouth MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week Every Other Weekend Rotating Holidays
Compensation:
- Traveler Rate: $75$80/hour ($2587 $2760/week) based on experience
- Local Rate: $65$70/hour ($2242 $2415/week) based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality critical care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care through assessment planning implementation and evaluation while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Candidates should have strong critical care experience and the ability to float to Med/Surg Tele units based on operational needs and patient census.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment planning implementation and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses accurately and safely
- Maintain complete accurate and timely patient documentation
- Assess patients physical psychological and social needs throughout hospitalization
- Develop and communicate individualized patient care plans with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Monitor critically ill patients and provide advanced nursing interventions as needed
- Demonstrate competency in charge nurse responsibilities and leadership support
- Utilize computerized nursing informatics and electronic medical records effectively
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff orientation and patient education
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Adhere to infection control safety and blood/body fluid exposure protocols
- Maintain ongoing professional development and competency in critical care practices
- Float to Med/Surg Telemetry units when required based on operational needs
- Maintain patient confidentiality and represent the organization professionally
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts required
- Prior critical care/ICU experience required
- Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
- Strong clinical judgment communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work nights weekends and rotating holidays
Required Certifications:
- Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Completion of Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia competency exams required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification preferred
- TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) certification preferred
- De-escalation Certification preferred
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring ventilator management and intracranial pressure monitoring preferred
