KOMAN Construction LLC is looking for an experience Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team in Harlingen TX. KC is a federal government contractor that supports CBP with road construction and vegetation control in Texas.

Essential Functions:
An employee in this class has general construction responsibilities. Work is performed under general supervision.
- Operates loading equipment and heavy machinery including skid steers backhoes tractors and front-end loaders.
- Operates and/or drives trucks and light to heavy equipment. (dump truck water truck rollers broom).
- Operates gas powered chain saw pole saws weed eaters and blower.
- Assists with traffic control.
- Assists in the proper maintenance of roadway rights of way including but not limited to moving and trimming trees and shrubbery and debris removal.
- Assists in the proper maintenance of roadway and drainage facilities including but not limited to pothole repairs installation of signs and roadside maintenance.
- Possesses working knowledge of the proper implementation and maintenance of traffic control devices as outlined in the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
- Performs routine maintenance of vehicles and light to heavy equipment.
- Keep vehicle and equipment clean.
- Essential Personnel for Emergency Situations
Required Qualifications:
- One (1) year or more work experience operating heavy construction equipment
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to pass a background and drug test KOMAN is a drug-free environment.
- Ability to work from diagrams sketches and oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively with fellow employees
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Continually required to stand sit and walk
- Frequently required to climb balance bend stoop kneel or crawl
- Continually required to talk or hear
- Continually exposure to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather) and work near moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally work in high precarious places around fumes airborne particles or toxic chemicals
- Continually exposure to outside weather conditions and vibration
- Occasional exposure to risk of radiation
- While performing the duties of this job the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud
- The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds/ continually lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
