Job Description:

Job Summary:

Ensures the manufacture of completed units by overseeing activities such as assembly of components into subassemblies; mating or joining of structural assemblies (metallic and nonmetallic); installation of systems (mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic) that are fastened with screws bolts rivets solder crimping or swaging connectors or adhesives; and testing with mechanical electrical and electronic test equipment. Interfaces with engineering management suppliers and customers to meet product requirements and customer acceptance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead team in developing solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

• Lead a team of represented employees in the fabrication and assembly of complex aerostructures to meet production requirements and customer acceptance.

• Interfaces with engineering management suppliers and customers to meet product requirements and customer acceptance.

Qualified Experience and Training:

• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups (Quality Assembly Procurement Supply Chain Machining etc.)

• At least 5 years experience in a leadership/management role

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Associate or Bachelors Degree

• Experience developing and managing a statement of work on time and within budget

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience using SAP

• Ability to work any shift including alternative work weeks

• Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings deliver information and participate in communications.

• Equipment Operation (personal computer telephone copies fax machine and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.

• Carrying: Weekly able to carry documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

• Lifting: Weekly able to lift documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

• Pushing / Pulling: Weekly able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

• Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings working on the computer.

• Squatting / Kneeling: Weekly able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

• Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.

• Travel: 5% able to travel independently and at short notice.

• Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

• Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes but is not limited to Safety Shoes Safety Glasses Hearing Protection Respirators/Masks and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site.

• Administrative position only PPE required: Safety glasses on manufacturing floor bump caps in designated areas and safety-toed shoes in designated work areas.
