We are seeking a new team player to fill our Industrial Engineer position available at our La Vergne TN manufacturing facility. This is an ON SITE position.
- Conduct time and motion studies cycle time analysis and line balancing to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives such as 6S waste reduction and value stream mapping.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen) with production teams on the shop floor.
- Collect and analyze process data to support efficiency and capacity improvements.
- Extract and analyze production and operational data from SAP.
- Support maintenance of production data and BOMs in SAP under supervision.
- Develop and maintain Excel and Power BI dashboards for operational reporting and performance tracking.
- Assist in maintaining visual management tools such as SQDC boards.
- Support the creation and updates of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and organized process documentation.
- Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and support implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across engineering and production records.
- Work closely with engineering production and maintenance teams to support operational needs.
- Contribute to special projects assigned by the Engineering Manager.
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 02 years of experience (internships and co-ops acceptable).
- Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to spend time on the shop floor working with operations teams.
- Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with time studies line balancing or capacity analysis.
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification (or coursework exposure).
