Civil Technician

Element has an opportunity for a Civil Material Technician for testing sample preparation and delivery/collection of samples and preparation of test reports. Candidates should ideally have gained considerable experience in construction material testing either with a commercial test house or contractor.

Perform varies of construction testing onsite such as concrete soil structural fixings and etc.

Perform test as directed by customer specification / Engineers instruction

Operate testing independently and /or under supervision of senior test technician

Gather and record test data and able to communicates properly with client onsite.

Prepare and compile reports/worksheets as per supervisors instruction.

Working knowledge of laboratory safety & site safety.
Diploma in Civils or Material Science certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
0-2 years experience in a testing related field
Basic understanding of testing concepts
Possess computer skills.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus

Physical Demands:

Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
Ability to lift 50lbs periodically
