Job Summary
Job Summary**
Responsible for inspecting incoming materials parts and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications before being accepted into inventory or production. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities**
* Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials components and finished goods against engineering drawings specifications and purchase orders.
* Utilize various measurement tools and equipment including calipers micrometers gauges and optical comparators to verify product conformity.
* Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly including acceptance rejection and any identified non-conformances.
* Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials and collaborate with quality engineering procurement and suppliers to resolve issues.
* Verify supplier certifications test reports and other required documentation for incoming shipments.
* Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company quality procedures.
* Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities as needed.
* Assist with inventory control and material handling as required.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in a technical field a plus.
* 2 years of experience in quality control or inspection preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings blueprints and technical specifications.
* Strong knowledge of various measurement tools (calipers micrometers height gauges etc.) and their proper use.
* Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001 AS9100).
* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Ability to accurately document inspection results and generate reports.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
* Basic computer proficiency including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
