Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) 13 Week Contract

Location: Harrisburg Illinois
Compensation: $2000 $2250 per week (Based on experience)
Shift Details: Day Shift 5x8 Hours 13 Weeks

Schedule:

• Monday Thursday Friday: 12:00 PM 8:30 PM
• Weekends: Saturday & Sunday 12:00 PM 8:30 PM
• Off Days: Tuesday & Wednesday

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support high-quality clinical laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing specimen processing quality control and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of patient results in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect receive and process laboratory specimens including blood urine fecal and body fluids
• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures
• Analyze and validate test results while identifying deviations and resolving discrepancies
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy precision and compliance standards
• Operate and monitor laboratory instruments equipment and temperature-controlled systems
• Document and report results in accordance with laboratory protocols
• Support implementation of new testing procedures and workflow improvements
• Respond to technical inquiries regarding testing methods and outcomes
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and competency requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required (Associates degree accepted for grandfathered personnel)
• Certification as MT (ASCP) or CLS or equivalent required
• New graduates must obtain certification within 6 months of employment start date
• Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and quality control standards
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume laboratory setting
