Job Summary

Job Description: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides Occupational Therapy services to students with a range of fine motor and sensory needs both in and out of the classroom under the guidance of a district Occupational Therapists and building-based Special Education Coordinators. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct 1:1 small group and in-class occupational therapy for students

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher in Occupational Therapy

  • Massachusetts Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Environment:

Duties may be occasionally performed on field trips away from school. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Regularly required to sit (including sitting on the floor or other hard surface) stand walk kneel talk hear operate a computer handheld learning devices and other office equipment reach with hands and arms work indoors or outdoors and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally may need to assist students with standing sitting organizational functions or other related general physical tasks.

Hourly Rate Range: $28.95 - $33.77 (SY26 Rate)
