WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The Cello Bagger Technician is responsible in setting up operating and monitoring the auto bagging equipment and bagging process of fresh product in the Cello area. The Bagger Technician will also work on all production machines using the necessary and required tools as assigned.
- Fully and independently operate carrot bagging equipment.
- Ensure bags are properly sealed.
- Monitor quality.
- Perform scheduled equipment check and preventive maintenance.
- Check scale weight and date on Kwik Lock.
- Inspect all machinery in area of ownership and report as necessary.
- Report any Health & Safety issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Keep bagger area clean and hazard free.
- Ensure there are sufficient supplies in work area.
- Communicate any errors or malfunctions with production.
- Report ALL concerns to supervisors.
- Assist Bagger Operator I and II with any malfunctions on equipment.
- Provide Bagger Operator I and II with supplies during production.
- Work closely with Automation and Maintenance while troubleshooting to maximize up time.
- Assist with machine repairs including but not limited to the following tools: Sockets Allen Wrenches and Needle Nose Pliers (full list of tools will be provided).
- Perform other assigned duties.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Possess mechanical aptitude.
- Be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of basic mathematical skills.
- Follow all required Health & Safety protocols to ensure safe working environment.
- Must be LOTO (lockout/tagout) certified.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven reliable work history
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food production/manufacturing facility.
- Two years experience running automated equipment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to ascend and descent ramps steps ladders stairs using three-point contact
- Environment exposure hot/humid conditions (95 Fahrenheit or above).
- Environmental exposure- cold/wet conditions (40 Fahrenheit or below)
- Material exposure-moving mechanical parts
- Occasional exposure to fumes airborne particles and vibrations
- Able to lift slide and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period
HOURS & WORKDAYS:
- 2nd shift 3:45 PM 2:00 AM; Monday-Friday; Occasionally Saturdays/Sundays; Hours subject to change; Overtime and holidays may be mandatory based on business needs
