Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2) and Mid-Level (Level 3) Structures Design Engineers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assists to develop integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
Develops maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods to provide product definition to other engineering groups production operations suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Assists with or manages supplier development test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
Supports or manages the investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effort.
Works under general supervision or direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical Civil Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
2 years of experience with aircraft structural design
2 years of experience using CAD Tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3: 5 years of experience with aircraft structural design
3 years of experience with design of composite material systems
Demonstrated autonomy while working with technical teams and projects
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Prior experience with manufacturing/production systems
Expertise using CATIA and Model Based Definition (MBD) for engine inlet or fan cowl structure design
Experience designing and qualifying composite primary and secondary structures including laminate design ply-drop strategies and structural strength considerations
Hands on experience with fabrication of metallic and composite structures

Summary Pay Range Associate Level (Level 2): $85000 - $115000
Summary Pay Range Mid-Level (Level 3): $103700 - $140300
