Parkerville Children and Youth Care is looking for an experienced values-led leader who is passionate about culture community and strengthening practice to join us as Cultural Practice Manager.
This is an identified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander position
This is a full-time role based across our Midland Burswood and Armadale sites with travel across metropolitan services as required.
This role works across teams programs and leaders to strengthen culturally safe trauma-informed and reflective practice across Community Services.
About the Role
As Cultural Practice Manager you will play a key role instrengthening practice capability and embedding culturally responsivetherapeutic and child-safe approaches across the organisation.
You will work closely with operational leaders andmultidisciplinary teams to provide specialist advice reflective support andpractice guidance that improves outcomes for children young people andfamilies impacted by trauma and adversity.
This is a leadership role that requires someone who can leadthrough relationships build trust and support teams in practical andmeaningful ways.
You will contribute to practice development workforcecapability service improvement initiatives and complex case discussions whilehelping ensure cultural safety remains central to how we work.
What Youll Bring
- Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginalculture community and culturally safe practice with the ability to apply thisknowledge in meaningful and respectful ways across services and teams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within community services child protection family support mental health or related sectors
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed culturally safe and therapeutic practice frameworks
- Experience coaching mentoring or guiding multidisciplinary teams
- Experience developing and facilitating cultural awareness training learning opportunities or reflective practice sessions that strengthen cultural understanding and capability across teams and services
- Confidence influencing practice and supporting reflective learning conversations
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical hands-on support
- A deep commitment to child safeguarding inclusion and continuous improvement
