What youll do:
Position Summary
The Service Coordinator supports the daily operations of an inpatient unit by providing essential clerical and administrative support to the healthcare team patients and families. This role helps ensure efficient communication accurate patient documentation and availability of supplies contributing to a smooth and organized patient care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate communication between staff patients and families ensuring timely and accurate information flow and supporting unit operations (phones paging call systems).
- Manage unit inventory by ordering and maintaining supplies equipment and medications to support uninterrupted care.
- Maintain and process medical records including patient admissions documentation chart audits and discharge records.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and promote efficient use of time and resources.
- Demonstrate ongoing professional development and commitment to service excellence and patient safety.
What youll need:
Required:
- High school diploma required; additional training or experience preferred
- Less than one year of related experience required; 12 years preferred
Compensation:
Pay Range: $15.45. - $19.68 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications education location licensure certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
