Position Overview
The LynnPublic Schoolsseeksa dynamic equity-driven leader to serve as theDirector of Family and Community Engagement Partnerships (FACE).Thisintegral positionis responsible fordesigningimplementingand continuously improvinga comprehensivedistrictwide strategythat strengthens authentic partnerships among schools familiesstudentsand community-based organizationsto improve student outcomes.
This role functions as the districts lead architect and coordinator of family and community engagement systems ensuring alignment across enrollment attendance student support and community partnerships. The Director will work across central office schools and external agencies to ensure that family engagement is coherentculturallyand linguistically responsive and directly connected to instructional priorities student belonging and attendance outcomes.
The Director will oversee and coordinate key family-facing systems including the Welcome Center Attendance Office Family & Community Coordinators and McKinney-Vento services ensuring clarity of roles effective service delivery and alignment to district priorities.
This position reflects a shift from program-based engagement to a system-level strategy where family and community partnerships are a core driver of student success enrollment stability andequitableaccess to opportunity.

Job Scope:
- Leads the design and execution of districtwide family and community engagement strategy
- Oversees multiple interconnected departments and initiatives
- Coordinates across central office schools and external partners
- Uses data and stakeholder feedback to improve systems and outcomes
- Advisessenior leadership on trendsimpactingenrollment attendance and family engagement
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of a districtwide system that strengthens partnerships among schools families and community organizations to improve student attendance belonging enrollment and access to Director will use data and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve systems strengthencommunicationand access and ensure families are meaningful partners in the educational experience.
Strategic Leadershipof Family and Community EngagementSystem:
- Develop and implement adistrictwide FACE strategy and multi-year action planaligned to the District Strategic Plan District Improvement Planand Instructional Core.
- Oversee and coordinate key family-facing functions (e.g. enrollment attendance family outreach and community partnerships) to ensure alignment accessibility and high-quality service delivery
- Design systems thatensure two-way communication family voice and community partnershipto drivecontinuousimprovement.
- Ensure systems are accessible culturally responsive and responsive to family needs.
- Lead the development of acoherent culturally responsive family engagement modelacross all schools.
- Lead districtwide strategy to reduce chronic absenteeism and improve engagement.
- Partner across schools central office teams and external organizations to integrate family engagement into instructional priorities and student support systems.
- Analyze and respond to enrollment trends mobility patterns and family decision-making.
- Build and sustain partnerships with:
- Community-based organizations
- City agencies
- Higher education institutions
- Non-profit providers
Qualifications
Required:
- Masters degree in education Social Work Public Administration orrelated
- Minimum of57 years of leadership experiencein a schooldistrictor community-based organization serving urban populations.
- Demonstrated experience leadingfamily engagement community partnerships or student support initiatives at scale.
- Bilingual/Biliteratein Spanish/English.
- Deep understanding of the needs ofmultilingual learners immigrant communities and historically marginalized populations.
- Experienceeffectivelymanaging teams programs and budgets.
Preferred:
- Massachusetts licensure as anAdministrator (or ability toobtain).
- Experience overseeing attendance initiativesandMcKinney-Vento programming.
- Knowledge ofTitle I family engagement requirementsand grant-funded programming.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as:
- Dual Capacity-Building Framework (Karen Mapp)
- Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Practices (CLRP)
- MTSS / Whole Child approaches
