MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:Under the supervision of the IT Security Manager the IT Security Intern is responsible for the analysis design implementation and ongoing management of security controls. The IT Security Intern is instrumental in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our information assets safeguarding against emerging threats and vulnerabilities to protect Viant innovation is integral to our strategy and culture. The IT Security Intern is encouraged to bring innovative solutions to the table continuously enhancing our security posture. This role will be RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES: Act in alignment with the core values of the company demonstrating agility teamwork leadership ownership customer focus and integrity in all and assess the effectiveness of existing security controls policies and implement and configure security measures to enhance the protection of Viants IT ongoing analysis of emerging threats and vulnerabilities providing proactive recommendations for control with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the operational efficiency of security and manage intrusion detection systems network forensics and endpoint security closely with the IT Security Manager to continuously improve security controls and align them with industry best expertise in the development and execution of disaster recovery regular internal security audits to assess compliance with established and respond to cybersecurity incidents working alongside the Security Incident Response Team in incident response guidance on physical security controls and manufacturing to the development of cybersecurity reports and business technical informed about cybersecurity trends and contribute to the development of the Viant security strategic with the IT Security Manager on cybersecurity risk management and vendor risk closely with the IT Operational Analyst on identity access management and user access support for network forensic activities and assist in the investigation of security with relevant stakeholders for 3rd party cybersecurity audits penetration testing and vulnerability security awareness training for and update documentation related to security procedures and REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge/Education:In process or completed bachelors degree in security cybersecurity or a related computer science CySa Security PenTest certificationJob Experience:2-5 years of cybersecurity experience working in a global organization.2-3 years in medical environment is understanding of cybersecurity principles protocols and best -depth knowledge of networking firewalls routing switching and wireless with intrusion detection systems network forensics and endpoint security in designing configuring and managing security to conduct proactive research on emerging security threats and analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced experience in coordinating with counterparts in a distributed up-to-date with the latest developments in :Up to 15% of the time or as neededPhysical Requirements:Work in an office environment with varying amounts of walking sitting standing twisting and turningLong periods of time working on a computer using hands and fingers extensivelyAble to lift 15 pounds bending lifting on occasionWe offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is$19.00$21.00hourly wage. Actual pay will be determined based on experience qualifications geographic location and other job-related factors permitted by law.
